ONE KILLED, THREE LECTURE’S CHILDREN ABDUCTED BY BANDITS IN KATSINA.

According to reports bandits have killed one person and abducted four others in Dangani village of Musawa local government area of Katsina. The bandits who attacked the village in the early hours of today, Friday April 30, 2021 killed a vigilante leader, Audu Buzu. They also abducted three children of a lecturer with department of physics, Isa Kaita College of Education, Dutsin-ma, Malam Sule Dan Hudu.

JAMES OMIYINKA AKA BABA IJESHA STILL IN POILCE CUSTODY.

Hakeem Odumosu, the  Lagos state  Commissioner of  Police,  has dismissed reports that the command planned to release popular actor James Omiyinka AKA Baba Ijesha from custody. The commissioner said the suspect was still held at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP). The CP clarification came on the heels of protests at the SCID following a report that the police planned to release the actor today. Hakeem Odumosu,    said the allegation against Omiyinka was sexual and indecent assault which is bailable and not defilement. SUSPECTED BOKO HARAM INSURGENTS ATTACK YOBE COMMUNITY.

Reports has it that suspected Boko Haram Insurgents have again reportedly attacked Kanamma, headquarter of Yunusari Local Government Council of Yobe State Thursday night, 29 April 2021. The attack is coming a week after the suspected insurgents invaded the Geidam community displacing over 6,000 residents. BREAKING NEWS: FEAR IN ONDO COMMUNITY OVER INFLUX OF FULANI MEN.

Multiple reports indicate that residents of the Okitipupa council area of Ondo state have raised the alarm over the influx of Fulani men in the community. PARENTS OF ABDUCTED STUDENTS TO PROTEST AT NATIONAL ASSEMBLY.

The video of the abducted students that was released on Tuesday has triggered reactions from the Parents of the remaining 29 abducted students of Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, Kaduna State. The parents have said they will stage a protest at the National Assembly if by midnight of Thursday 29 April 2021, the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN), which supervises the college, failed to release their children. Ten of 39 students abducted have been released by the abductors in two batches of five. FRSC RESCUES FIVE TRAFFICKED WOMEN IN ANAMBRA.

Report indicate that the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra State has handed over a suspected human trafficker and five trafficked girls to the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) in the state. Corps’ Sector Head of Operations,  Anthony Ogbodo,   stated this yesterday that the suspects and victims aged between 14 and 29 were intercepted on Tuesday night by the Corps patrol team at Umuokpu on Onitsha-Awka Expressway. The head of operation said the 36-year-old suspect Frank Lucky claimed he was on his way to Benin, Edo State from Benue State. Anthony ogbodo also said the case was immediately reported to the Commission’s headquarters which directed the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) in the state be alerted for further investigations.

TWO ABDUCTED BENUE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS REGAIN FREEDOM.

Mutiple report indicates that two Students of the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi who were abducted on campus by unknown gunmen have regained their freedom. The students were abducted on April 24, 2021, while they were studying at a lecture theater in the school. Mrs. Rosemary Waku,  the  head of Information, Protocol and Public Relations of the University, who disclosed this in a telephone conversation with reporters gave the names of the students that regained as Israel Farren Kwaghgee and Solomon Salihu, adding that they were released yesterday 27 April 2021. Rosemary although, declined to say if ransom was paid before they were released as it was gathered that the abductors had demanded for N20 million. “Yes the student have been released and they are undergoing medical treatment”, Mrs. Rosemary Waku said. DSP Catherine Anene,  the Police Public Relations’ Officer  also confirmed the release of the kidnapped students of the university but did not give details.

ENUGU RAISES THE ALARM OVER PLOT TO SABOTAGE NCC’S INDUSTRIAL PARK PROJECT.

The Enugu State Government has raised alarm over plans by some individuals to sabotage the ongoing construction of a Digital Industrial Park (DIP) by the Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC), at the green triangle of the popular Murtala Mohammed Park. EFCC SETS UP CHEMICAL LABORATORY TO FIGHT ILLEGAL OIL BUNKERING.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has established plans to construct a fully-integrated chemical laboratory in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to combat illegal oil bunkering in the zone.   Aliyu Naibi,  the Port Harcourt Zonal Head of the Commission,  revealed this yesterday, 27 April 2021,  while hosting the executives of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria, System 2E Eastern zone, who paid him a courtesy visit. According to a statement by  Mr. Wilson Uwujaren,   the EFCC spokesman, Aliyu Naibi said the issue of illegal oil bunkering was rampant in the Niger Delta region, noting that the EFCC had been relying on the Department of Petroleum Resources for product analysis, in the investigation of such cases. POLICE SAY NO ATTACK ON UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA.

The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory "FCT" says there is no report of an attack by bandits on the University of Abuja. KIDNAPPERS RELEASE ANOTHER VIDEO OF ABDUCTED KADUNA COLLEGE STUDENTS PLEADING FOR HELP.

A second video of the remaining 29 kidnapped students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka, Kaduna, still in captivity, has surfaced on social media. The bandits had invaded the school on March 11, 2021 about 11:30 pm and abducted 39 students. Weeks after the abduction, 10 of the students were released following the payment of N17 million, according to sources close to the parents. In the 4 minute, 56 second-long video recorded at night, one of the bandits ordered the victims, including the wife of a naval officer, who was abducted in her home in Trikaniya, a suburb of Kaduna metropolis, to speak to their relations to pay ransom for their release. The students spoke in both Hausa and English languages.

DPO AND OTHERS, KILLED AS BANDITS STRIKE IN KEBBI.

Eagles eye have gathered that, Over 100 Gunmen, believed to be bandits running riot in the neighbouring Niger State, struck five villages in Sakaba Local Government Area of Kebbi State, killed a Divisional Police Officer (DPO), four other Policemen and four members of the Vigilante group, known as ‘Yan sa kai’. According to the report made available to newsmen from the area, the five villages attacked by the bandits are Sakaba, Dan kolo, Makuku, Dokakambari and Kurminhodo all in Sakaba Council Area in the Southern part of the state. Report also indicate that a local resident in the area, Salisu Adamu saying, “the bandits numbering about 100 men rode on miracles arrived the area shooting sporadically killing no fewer than 100 people across the five villages including the DPO and four of his men and the Yan sa Kai boys.”

The Commissioner for Entrepreneurship and Skill Acquisition, Mr Iyke Ume, was among the victims of Sunday’s robbery attack on motorists in Orji area of Owerri, a government official has said. The Special Adviser to Gov. Hope Uzodimma on Inter-party Affairs, Dominic Uzowuru, confirmed this to newsmen in Owerri on Monday. Uzowuru said he was in the company of the commissioner, who was driving home in an unmarked security vehicle, when the robbers struck. Another two of the undergraduates students of greenfield university have been confirmed killed by their abductors. Barely four days after the killing of three of the Greenfield University students abducted last Tuesday. BREAKING NEWS: BANDITS KIDNAP BENUE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ON CAMPUS.

Multiply reports indicate that some gunmen have taken away some students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi (FUAM) in Benue State. The school authorities confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, saying an unspecified number of students were abducted at gunpoint on Sunday night, 25 April 2021.   Mrs Rosemary Waku,  the Director of Information, Protocol and Public Relations Unit (IPPR), made the disclosure on Monday. Just last week, an unspecified number of students were kidnapped at Greenfield University, a private tertiary institution in Kaduna State. The bodies of three of the abducted students were later found close to the school.

The National Broadcasting Commission, NBC has suspended Channels Television with a fine N5 million for breaching the broadcast code. The Indigenous People of Biafra has reacted to the killing of one of its leaders, saying Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, “will pay dearly”. The Nigerian Army on Saturday said it had led a combined team of security forces to raid “the operational Headquarters of the IPOB/ESN terrorists in Awomama Village, Oru East LGA of Imo State.” During the raid, Ikonso – who the Army said was the mastermind of the April 5 attacks on the Imo State Police Command and the Owerri Correctional Center, in addition to multiple attacks in the South East and South South regions – was neutralised along with six of his top Commanders. Boko Haram Hoist Flag In Some Parts Of Yobe Community

Boko Haram has hoisted its flag in some parts of the Geidam community, in Yobe state. This comes two days after the terrorists reportedly attacked Geidam local government area of the state. Geidam is the hometown of the acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. Usman Alkali Baba. Some of the residents confirmed to Channels Television that, the insurgents have hoisted their flags in some parts of their community, moving from house to house preaching to them to accept their ideology.
