FOUR SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS NABBED BY VIGILANTES IN EDO FOREST

Eagles eye have gathered that, The combined efforts of locals, vigilante groups and security agencies geared towards ridding Uzebba, Owan West Local Government Area, Edo State of kidnappers, drug barons and armed robbers, recorded a boost this weekend, as a group of suspected kidnappers were arrested by vigilantes in one of the forests.  Eagles eye reporter is privy to a recorded confession of some of the captured criminals, who are mostly young men under the age of 30. According to the taped confession by the arrested suspects, the kidnappers mostly disguise as farmers but engage in the business of illicit drug cultivation, while setting up kidnapping cells at different parts of the forests, from where they plan and execute their heinous crimes.  The Kidnapers are also said to take advantage of their familiarity with the expansive terrain to beat security agents, while carrying out their criminal activities. NDLEA RECOVER DRUGS, RE-ARRESTS ON-BAIL NURSING MOTHER, OTHERS FOR VARIOUS OFFENCES.

In a bizarre incident,  Mariam Adetilewa Dirisu,  a nursing mother who claims to be a final year student of the University of Benin, who was last week arrested and granted bail for attempting to smuggle drugs concealed in cassava flour (Akpu), for a suspect in NDLEA custody in Benin, has again been arrested for trafficking in 5kg skunk and 8.1 grams of substances suspected to be Molly. Mariam, the  35 year old mother of a 2 month year old toddler was first arrested on the 21st of October by the Edo state Command of  NDLEA,  Chairman of the Agency, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) had on the same day directed that she be counselled and released immediately because of the young baby she was carrying. Curiously, a controlled delivery operation carried out by Operatives of the Delta state Command of the  NDLEA  on Saturday 30th October again led to the arrest of Mariam who had ordered for the drugs from Lagos even while still on bail for an earlier offence. EFCC DENIED REPORTS THAT IT STORMED THE HOME OF JUSTICE MARY ODILI FOR A SEARCH.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has debunked reports that it stormed the home of the Chief Judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Mary Odili, to execute a search. Reports circulated online o n Friday,  29th October,  indicating that security operatives stormed the Abuja home of Justice Mary Odili in an apparent attempt to search it. Justice Odili is the wife of Peter Odili, a former two-term governor of Rivers State, who is currently being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) The agency has although responded to the alleged invasion via a press statement issued by its Head, Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren on Saturday.
