LAGOS STATE ENDSARS JUDICIAL PANEL REVEAL THERE WAS A MASSACRE AT THE LEKKI TOLLGATE.

In a report released on Monday 15th November, the Lagos State Judicial Panel has revealed that not less than 11 persons were killed during a peaceful protest at the Lekki Tollgate. Recall that the panel was inaugurated on October 19th 2020, by Governor Sanwo-Olu of lagos state to investigate alleged cases of brutality and human rights violations. The report, which described the October 20th 2020, shootings a 'massacre' also revealed that four persons were declared missing but presumed dead, taking the death toll to 15. It also stated that there were a total of 48 casualties from the Lekki incident which hit global headlines last year. the 48 casualties, 25 sustained gunshot wounds while 15 others were extrajudicially harassed. UNKNOWN GUNMEN STORM ANKA LGA OF ZAMFARA, KILL VILLAGE HEAD, EIGHT OTHERS

Eagles Eye Reporter gathered that Residents of Tungar Ruwa village mourn as gunmen launched a fresh attack, killing the village head and eight other residents. Sources Revealed the assailants stormed the village on Wednesday midnight and shot sporadically, causing residents to wake up and scamper for safety. Eagles Eye Reporters gathered that the assailants proceeded to the residence of the village head, and gruesomely slaughtered him to death. This is coming less than one week after bandits killed six residents and abducted several others in Rijiya community, Gusau LGA of Zamfara. This was two weeks after armed bandits invaded Gurbin Baure community, Zurmi LGA of Zamfara State, in a midnight ambush, killing four residents and rustling several animals.

GOVERNORS ACCUSE MALAMI OF MISLEADING PRESIDENT BUHARI ON PARIS FUNDS.

Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has criticised the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami for allegedly misleading President Muhammadu Buhari in the case of the $418 million Paris Fund deductions being claimed by a group of consultants. The Governors' position was re-echoed yesterday by Chairman of Forum, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, while speaking at a programme on Arise TV. He said it is difficult for any rationale mind to justify the haste and illogic upon which the AGFs utterances and actions are based on the controversial issue. DEPUTY COMMISSIONER OF POLICE BASSEY EWAH: POLICE HAVE NO RIGHT TO SEARCH SUSPECT'S PHONES, PERSONAL DEVICES WITHOUT A WARRANT.

Eagles Eye Reporter have gathered that, The Nigeria Police Force has adviced Nigerians to desist from allowing Police Officers peruse their phones at checkpoints, expecially without a warrant to the effect.  This was made known by  DCP Bassey Ewah,  Deputy Commissioner of Police yesterday at a question and answer section of a programme organised by the Police Relations Community Relations Committe in Lagos. Mr Bassey said the Police have no constitutional right to search a suspects phone without a duely signed warrant. He said that would amount to an illegal invasion and a violation of citizens right to privacy. SCORES OF BOKO HARAM/ISWAP TERRORISTS AMBUSHED, NEUTRALISE BY MILITARY FORCES IN BORNO.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has congratulated the personnels attached to Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) on the high rate of success so far recorded in the fight against banditary and terrorism in the North Eastern part of Nigeria. The Army boss made this remark as a response to a major feat recorded by troops who repelled a combined force of Boko Haram and ISWAP fighters in an ambush at Pulka, recently.  The Military Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) deployed at 192 Battalion Foward Operations Base (FOB) depleted scores of Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists in an ambush at Pulka in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State. ONE KILLED, TWO ABDUCT AS BANDITS ATTACK STUDENTS COMMUNITY IN MINNA LGA OF NIGER STATE.

One person was killed while two others were abducted following an attack by bandits in Gidan-Kwano community, Minna LGA of Niger State. Sources disclose the assailants stormed the community at exactly 12am midnight on Thursday November 11. Eagles eye Reporter gathered that the attack occurred opposite the main campus of FUTMINNA where majority of the residents are students Security men were deployed to the scene to restore normalcy to the area and clamp down on the assailants. One of the suspects was intercepted and arrested at Barkuta village. This is coming barely one week after gunmen kidnapped four women in Suleja LGA of Niger State.

UNKNOWN GUNMEN KILL 15 PERSONS IN KARIM LAMIDO LGA OF TARABA.

Bandit have killed about 15 residents, including three housewives, at Binnari and Jab Jab villages in Karim Lamido LGA of Taraba State. The incident occurred around 6pm on Wednesday November 10th 2021.  A Sources disclosed that the attack was in retaliation after some suspected kidnappers were killed by Vigilantes in the community some weeks ago. Eagles eye Reporters gathered that the residents attempted to foil the attack but were outnumbered by the assailants, who stormed the villages with heavy ammunition. Seven of the bandits were killed during the attack while others escaped with injuries. It is pertinent to mention that the village head of Binnari and some local vigilantes were killed by bandits early this year.   DSP Usman Abdullahi, the State’s Police PRO, who confirmed the incident, said security operatives have commenced an investigation into the incident, adding that normalcy has been restored to the area.

PLANS TO MAKE LAGOS, OGUN, BAUCHI NIGER DELTA DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MEMBERS STATES.

It was gathered that Lagos, Ogun and Bauchi may soon become part of Nigeria's oil producing States. The Nine States already recognised by the NDDC Act are: Cross River, Edo, Delta, Abia, Imo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom and Ondo States. ARIK STAFF ARRESTED OVER BRIBERY AT LAGOS AIRPORT.

The Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) arrested a staff of Arik airline over bribery and corruption at the Muritala Mohammed Airport, Lagos. The staff whose identity was not released, was arrested while soliciting for a bribe from a travelling passenger at the General Aviation Terminal of the Muritala Mohammed Airport, Lagos. The Airport Authority said the On Duty Card of the erring staff has been withdrawn. The female suspect is said to have been handed over to the appropriate security agency for immediate action. The Airport Authority said in a statement that the move is a fallout of a meeting it held over the "Incessant extortion of passengers by airport officials at the nation’s airports and steps being taken to address the situation." UNKNOWN GUNMEN KILL THREE PERSONS, INJURED OTHERS IN IMO COMMUNITY MARKET

Reports indicate that heavily armed men have killed three persons and injured others in Anara market, Isiala Mbano LGA of Imo State. The incident occurred around 10pm on Tuesday night. A Sources Revealed that the assailants stormed the market in a white Sienna car, and opened fire on defenceless residents. Three persons were killed while others sustained gunshot wounds.  Among the deceased were two Igbo and a northerner selling suya at the junction of the daily market. This is coming barely two weeks after suspected IPOB Militants killed three Dangote truck drivers in Orsu LGA of the State and set their corpses ablaze.

SECURITY PERSONNEL BAR JOURNALISTS FROM ENTERING COURTROOM TO COVER NNAMDI KANU’S TRIAL

Eagles eye Reporter have gathered that, Security operatives on Wednesday barred journalists from entering the courtroom to report the trial of IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Sources say that one of Kanu’s Lawyers, Mr.  Maxwell Opara  was also prevented from entering the Federal High Court in Abuja. INEC DECLARES PROF. CHARLES SOLUDO WINNER OF ANAMBRA GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Prof. Charles Soludo winner of the 2021 gubernatorial election in Anambra. Recall that INEC had declared the election inconclusive following a delay at Ihiala LGA which could not hold on Saturday for insecurity reasons. The election eventually took place on Tuesday November 8 and the Commission's Returning Officer (RO), Prof. Florence Obi announced a 112,229 votes to defeat PDP's flag bearer, Valentine Ozigbo, who amassed 53,807 votes. Prof. Florence Obi  revealed that Prof. Soludo had won in 19 out of 21 LGAs in the State including; Dunukofia, Awka South, Oyi, Anaocha, Ayamelum, Anambra East, Idemili South and Onitsha South, Njikoka, Orumba South, Onitsha North, Idemili North, Ekwusigo, Aguata, and Nnewi South, Orumba North and Ihiala Local Government Areas.

IPOB CANCELS ONE WEEK SIT-AT-HOME ORDER, URGES RESIDENTS TO TURN UP FOR ANAMBRA ELECTIONS.

Reports indicate that, The Indigenous People of Biafra has canceled its one-week sit-at-home order it issued across the South-East. This is coming barely 48 hours to the much anticipated gubernatorial election slated for Saturday November 6. The separatist group, in a statement by  Emma Powerful,  the group’s Director of Media and Publicity, said it called off the order after consultations with elders, traditional, and religious leaders from the region. It noted that there are no intentions to add to the pains of people as all business activities have been grounded since the commencement of the sit-at-home order. ANAMBRA ELECTIONS: THE INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE USMAN ALKALI BABA ORDERS RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR MOVEMENTS

  Usman Alkali Baba, The  Inspector General of Police, has ordered the restriction of vehicular movements in and out of Anambra State from Midnight on Friday, 5th November 2021 to Midnight on Saturday, 6th November 2021. HOODLUMS ATTACK POLICE STATION IN ILE EWE AREA OF LAGOS STATE.

Eagles eye reporters have gathered that Hoodlums have stormed Ile-Iwe Police Station at Command bus stop axis of Lagos State, over the death of a tricycle rider who was allegedly shot by a Police officer. Eagles eye reporters earlier reported that one person was shot dead following a clash between tricycle riders and security operatives at Ile ewe area, Lagos State. A Sources say that the policeman allegedly shot dead the tricycle rider because he refused to give him N100 bribe. This caused palpable tension in the area as hoodlums mounted a road blockade to protest the alleged killing of the tricyclist. Although as of the time of filing this report, calm and normalcy have been restored to the area but a recurrence of the incident cannot be ruled out.

GUNMEN KILL FOUR POLICEMEN IN EKWUSIGO LGA OF ANAMBRA

PARLIAMENTARIANS SET TO OPPOSE LEGALISATION OF CANNABIS IN NIGERIA.

The Chairman/Chief Executive of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) has stated that the proposed 2022 budget allocation to the Agency is a great improvement on previous budgets, and by extension, the Agency's fortunes.  He said this on Wednesday at the budget defence of the Agency before the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs.  Gen. Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has declared Thursday 4th  and Friday 5th of  November as work-free days ahead of Saturday's Anambra governorship election. NIGERIAN AIR FORCE AIRSTRIKES KILL SCORES OF BANDITS IN CHIKUN LGA OF KADUNA STATE.

Multiple Reports indicate that, The Nigerian Air Force has killed scores of bandits in offensive airstrikes launched in Chikun LGA of State. Eagles eye reporters gathered that the airstrikes were conducted over some identified locations in Kauwuri and Gaude villages. The locations were identified as bandits enclaves following multiple Intelligence reports by the Airforce. Armed Gunmen have attacked a Lecturer of the University of Abuja, Dr. David Okoroafor, in his office at the School’s permanent site. This incident is coming barely 72 hours after bandits invaded the University staff quarters, kidnapping a Professor, and five others.
